Kevin W. Kelley is a partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a co-chair of the Capital Markets Practice Group and Head of its Latin American Practice Group. He has been active in Latin American, particularly Brazilian, capital markets and acquisition work since the early 1990s. Mr. Kelley's practice encompasses a broad range of capital markets transactions, particularly those involving non-U.S. issuers engaging in U.S. public or private securities offerings and exchange and tender offers. Mr. Kelley's clients include the major U.S. investment banks as well as corporations, financial institutions and sovereign issuers throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe. He has significant expertise representing issuers and underwriters in public and 144A offerings of debt and equity securities, compliance with U.S. securities laws and NYSE and NASDAQ listings by foreign issuers. Mr. Kelley is consistently ranked as a leading Capital Markets lawyer concentrating in Latin America by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Chambers Latin America Directory, International Financial Law Review and The Legal 500. Mr. Kelley received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was an articles editor of the Law Review. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He clerked for the Honorable Thomas G. Gee in the Fifth Judicial Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals. Mr. Kelley is admitted to practice in New York. He is proficient in French. |
